Our trip to Outer Banks Beaches!

We took a 2 hour nice drive down south to the beaches in NC called the Outer Banks and stayed a couple of days down there in a house in Southern Shores. We love to go there as they really like dogs there and allow them on most beaches. It is a great place to vacation with your dogs, Mom and Dad have been going there with their dogs for over 35 years. Sometimes we take our Motorhome down there out to the campground on Hatteras Island.

Below here we are with our little sunhats on sitting under the umbrella with our Daddy, grandniece Kendall and Mommy's sister on the beach in Kitty Hawk.
We saw a couple of other dogs there on the beach and greeted them with a big "woof woof"! Phooey after awhile Mom and Dad spoiled all our fun and and made us stop.

This is Mommy with Layla and Tizzy at the waters edge..... we ran in when those waves chased us but a couple of ones got our bellies all wet. weeeeeeeeeee that's cold!

Okay Mom that is enough fun, that is a big wave and we are out of here. Back to sitting in the shade and checking out all the other cool dogs on the beach. I saw a cute little chihuahua, You think it could be Chloe?

Okay this is better we like the shade much better even though we have new summer cuts that keep us cooler in the heat, it can get real hot here in the south with all that fur. Plus Mom said the sand falls out easier.

Mom has been trying out her new camera she got for her birthday before we left and trying to figure out how to use all the adjustments on it. She still hasn't figured out the video part yet.

Layla sticking close to her Daddy. She sure is a Daddy's girl.

Hey Kendall you going to keep all that watermelon for yourself? We love watermelon too ya know. hehe we love Kendall when she drops food and we clean up big time! I don't know what that is all about but sometimes she will feed us all her food. What a girl!

Well we did our best begging with sad puppy eyes and finally scored some watermelon. Boy we are good!

Hey they didn't tell us they went to eat at an all you can eat seafood buffet there!
Where was the doggy bag we didn't get a sniff!

Dad is eating snow crab legs and shrimp, hey we like that too. Boy even Kendall ate some crab legs and seafood.
Our sister Sassy who is at the rainbow bridge would not eat shrimp they gave her, instead she would drop it and roll in it, guess she liked the smell better than the taste. You can bet we don't turn down much. Mommy and Daddy usually save us a bite off their plates. Not this time!

Here we watched the boats coming back in from the back porch and saw this Jack Russell on the boat. He sure looks like he is having fun.
A couple of years ago Mommy's sister's golden retriever Tigger jumped off the boat right into the canal with his Mom still holding his leash. Good thing he did not weigh a 100 lbs like he does now or they would have had a hard time lifting him out of the water.

So after Mom unpacked, put away and washed everything, including a quick bath for us doggies and her she said she needed another vacation but this time at home! We were happy to be back home too.

  2. What a fun trip, and you all look so adorable in your sunhats. I'll bet that made people smile when they saw you! That sand can get hot for a doggie, so I'm glad you have a nice umbrella to sit under!
